You know how in the Pepe Le Pew cartoons, the joke was always that a black cat always ended up with a white stripe along its back, making it look like a skunk that Pepe wanted to stalk and, presumably, rape?
Well, they always had some weird and contrived way to get a stripe of white liquid (usually paint) down the cat's back: it would walk under a guy who was holding a paintbrush with white paint on it, or it would walk under a bucket leaking white paint, or something like that.
Anyway, do you think one of the writers ever suggested the obvious option, even as a joke?
