And now the ethernet connection is my living room is on the fritz. My Xbox is failing the MTU test, and my laptop won't connect at all using this same wall jack, which worked perfectly before my Xbox died.
On the plus side, they appear to have simply replaced by dead Xbox with a new one, which was pretty rad. They also threw in a free month of Xbox Live Gold (not that it does me any good right now).
I'm going to the housing office tomorrow afternoon to ask them what the hell is up.
If they can't fix it, I'll try that trick where you can turn a cheap router into a wireless adapter because I'll be damned if I'm spending $100 on the official Xbox 360 wireless adapter which is identical in every way to a thing that costs $15
Also they've done something to make it so only the official adapter works, even though it's IDENTICAL IN EVERY WAY TO A $15 USB WIRELESS ADAPTER JESUS CHRIST
it literally takes the push of the X button with the PS3(after switching on MP's -act as a mediaserver option-). Its amazing how sony managed to integrate a MS product better than MS could with another MS product. I hate using media player though so the feature is rarely used. I'm hoping Apple will add the option with the next itunes.

I don't want to run a wire from my living room to my bedroom (it's not a huge apartment, and I have 3 roommates who wouldn't appreciate tripping over it). Maybe I'll give it a try when/if I get this wireless thing set up.

Fat chance. Then you won't have to buy the Apple TV.
Also, video bought through the iTunes store is DRM'd all to hell, so it's highly unlikely that it will play on anything not made by Apple.
its great to be able to stream a harddrive's worth of content straight to your tv. I wouldn't dare transfer all of my music to my PS3's harddrive, I wouldn't even think of saving a downloaded movie to it.

I'm hoping all the competition kills Apple Tv. You can add your own (non-itune store) music to Itunes, which has zero DRM. I allmost transferred all my music to media player one day, but while in the process MP constantly reminded me of how shitty it is

Awkward bought me a case to replace the white one it comes with. The instructions were literally, take every tiny piece apart, and then put it back together. It took me about 4-5 hours to do completely. Voided my warranty and spent a lot of time, and in the end I have a black wii. My dad vacuumed my sensor bar's chord about 3 months ago, the sad thing is I really don't miss it. I still need to get no more heroes but besides that I don't think I'm missing anything. I will get a new bar when Mad World comes out.
