Good Books On FOrmal Logic.

I think I may take a Logic course in college, but I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions on books about formal logic?  INtroductions to the topic would be most appreciated.
I have been partaking in a lot of conversations with people lately, and sometimes they go into technical logic speak.  I'd love to know what the **** they're talking about.

Sucker. I spent very little last semester because one of my books was a repeat, and a couple I didn't buy because the course was doable without it.

It's what one gets for studying a science. Those books are ridiculous.

If it weren't for that damned computer science my books would cost less than $200...

math textbooks are the biggest ripoff of all.  the material in first and second semester calculus hasn't changed for the past 300 years and the material in linear algebra, vector calculus, and differential equations hasn't changed in the past 200 years.

want to make a metric assload of money?  write a math textbook, and every two years you should change a couple of the problems and the font.

but it is true that new science texts are a ripoff.

At least law books are attractive looking and well-constructed and are worth keeping the rest of your life.

Not so with an intro to psychology book.
