Private message her with your abuse if you think it's so shocking that no-one else can see it. If I see a friend getting verbally attacked and can't see any justification for it, I would be failing if I didn't say someting about it. The same goes for people like Miaow. I can't see how you can say people are reacting unreasonably.

it wasn't exactly well thought out I give you that. It was a group of people venting in a way that some may not find reasonable. I for one and I suspect others who posted didn't like her to begin with. I've said my fair share of harsh remarks before this. I don't know how you consider some anonymous person on a message board a friend, but if you feel so go ahead and say what you will. Just go ahead, but do so knowing that there is something you don't know. Like I said we couldn't care less if the others ever knew. I think its preferred even.
